Women: Protein Shakes Do Not Build Bulky Muscles

Most women have the idea that if they drink whey protein shakes that they will gain a lot of muscle. This is definitely a myth and needs to be busted.

Most guys who do lift weights take whey protein right have their workouts, but women should also do the same. By taking whey protein after a workout, women will notice that they will develop a lean, solid look instead of the stigma of getting that bulky look.

What you are doing is fueling your muscles with protein after your workout. The whey protein is a low calorie, low fat meal replacement that is perfect for weight loss or leaning out.


The reason women wont be able to bulk up by taking whey protein is because they do not produce enough testosterone to gain a substantial amount of muscle. Women have a higher amount estrogen whereas men have a high amount of testosterone. When we see magazines or women at the gym who are abnormally bigger then most women then there some sort of chemical imbalance that is going on. That woman is somehow increasing her testosterone in her body. If you want to look like China from WWE aka WWF wrestling then I suggest you take the juice. Just kidding.

But most women want that look that the movie stars have. Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Anniston, and Jessica Biel all have long, athletic bodies where you know they hit the weights and do something right in their diets. Most people assume that they themselves cannot accomplish the look of a movie star because of excuses. Movie stars have money, personal trainer, and their very own chefs, but they also have the motivation and knowledge to better themselves, and you can too.

The idea is to have five to seven meals a day to lose weight and speed up your metabolism. The calorie intake per meal is low while also keeping the fat and carbs low. Focus on having protein for every meal, and having a whey protein shake after a workout. I would also recommend having another protein shake sometime throughout the day when your hungry. Protein shakes are a easy fast way to keep your hunger away, lean out, and to get that great figure.

Any option of whey protein will do. Taste wise, I would recommend Optimum Nutrition or Muscle Tech. Each are low in calorie and fat, and taste great.

Women should drop the stigma that protein shakes build bulky muscle because it is definitely not true. Add a shake and see the results.
